Perhaps there is a way to keep the inner child alive during our painting and drawing time. When frustration or stress sets in, take a deep breath and refer to what your head was thinking. Where did the root of that thought begin?
Was that your thought or does it have its origin in somebody else's voice? Hey, if it's not yours, you can change it. Come to think of it, you can change it if it IS yours.
Just because the thought happened in your head doesn't make it
true. Let your inner child play as if the thought never existed. You'll be amazed at how exhilerating the experience of painting will be.
