Can you look at this painting and name the colors the artist used to create it?
How would you go about doing that?
My guess is that the majority of you would instantly answer that Forbes used the
Zorn palette. And it is true that the Zorn palette would create this kind of color results. But are there other palettes that might work, too?
Let's do a bit of detective work:
I've had my computer read the major color areas in the painting. Here are the results.
I've taken it one step further and had the computer analyze the saturated version of each of these colors. I put those
results at the top of each of the samples from the painting.
Among other possibilities, the palette of colors for this painting also could be the following with a white.
